Job summary

Full-time Prescribing Clerk required to join our busy and friendly team.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for ensuring the smooth running of patient medication.

Ensure requirements for repeat prescriptions from discharge advice notes (DANs), treatment advice notes (TANs), emails, tasks and clinic letters are actioned in accordance with Practice policy and procedure

Patients medication records are kept up to date and medication reviews are maintained.

Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients, visitors, or refer to appropriate person

Liaise with practice clinical staff regarding medication queries

Liaise with outside clinicians and pharmacists

Maintain patient records by inputting all relevant data into the computer in line with practice protocols and guidelines, using up to date and accurate computer coding systems

To perform any other task within the skills of the post holder

To accurately interpret patient data

Support and encourage other team members

Provide assistance as required by the Practice Manager or Partners with individual projects

We are a large training practice with approximately 18,500 patients, covering Otley, Bramhope and surrounding areas.
