Job summary

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, Fallodon Way Medical Centre is seeking a Management Support Assistant

The job purpose is to carry out essential accounts and payroll processing, recording and reconciliation. To undertake ad-hoc financial work as directed by the Practice Manager or the Partners. To monitor and advise on contract performance, producing searches and participate in recall activity as appropriate. Be a digital and transformation champion, researching and advising on systems and processes to ensure the daily smooth operation of the practice.

Main duties of the job

Experience of bookkeeping/accounts and an understanding and ability to prepare, submit and record payroll data is essential. Previous experience within General Practice would be helpful but training can be provided for the right candidate.

The post holder will play a key role in the management of the practice and will work with the wider team to monitor the practices performance against our contractual obligations (QOF/IIF).

Hours and salary are negotiable depending on experience

Fallodon Way Medical Centre is a friendly, sociable, innovative and family-oriented practice. The post holder will sit within the management team and will assist the Practice Manager and be responsible for particular aspects of running General Practice, including, but not limited to finance.

Job responsibilities

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Processing of income and expenditure information

Invoice generation

Cash-flow monitoring

Monitoring of bank accounts

Purchase and sales ledger processing

Reconciliation and balancing of accounts

Petty Cash monitoring and processing

EMIS searches and recall activity to support clinical contracts

Practice income achievement authorisation (CQRS)

Submit claims, data submissions and reimbursement claims

Usual GP re-allocation to ensure fair and equitable distribution of patients

Monthly payroll processing and recording

Calculation of holiday entitlements

Specific assigned tasks, project support or development / change work which may arise from time to time

Other tasks deemed appropriate delegated by the Practice Manager or Partners.
