Job description

Job responsibilities

We offer a full range of clinical and well-being services from the practice, including all aspects of long term condition care, womens health, vaccinations, minor surgery, joint injections and micro suction.

We provide both same day and pre-bookable appointments with all our clinical team, operating a Duty Doctor service during the week and prebooked appointments for extended access on specified Saturdays across the year.

Worcester City PCN also provides a number of services we can directly book patients into including cytology, phlebotomy, wound care and GP appointments.

Continuity of care is important to the practices ethos and we strive to achieve this where possible. Waiting times for all appointments are maintained and we closely monitor and flex our team to maintain these.

We are a teaching and training practice for medical and nursing students and GP Registrars. Designated a research practice we host a research nurse and are currently supporting a number of national trials. Staff development and training is again important to our ethos with many of the team undertaking external qualifications ranging from business administration to independent prescribing.

The reception team are the face of the practice with the team often going the extra mile for patients if possible. We record and share compliments received about our staff and services and although we do make mistakes at times we aim to learn from these. We are pleased to report that we have a low rate of patient niggles and complaints.

We have regular practice and team meetings as well as open offices and a supportive working environment. Please check out our website for more information about us.
