Job summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual experienced in providing excellent patient / customer service to join our friendly Reception team.

This is a busy challenging position that requires flexibility, the ability to work under own initiative and as part of a a team whist ensuring confidentiality and patient care is upheld at all times.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional either in person or via the telephone.

About us

Bodowen Surgery is a semi-rural dispensing practice on the North Wales coast within an hours drive of Chester, Manchester, Liverpool and Snowdonia. We are based in a modern purpose built premises with access to a local community hospital and have a friendly team approach.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with general public.
  • Experience of administrative / receptionist duties.
  • Experience of providing a high level of customer service.
  • Flexibility to work outside core hours.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedure.
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training.

Desirable

  • AMSPAR / NVQ Level 3 qualification in administration, health and social care or customer service.
  • IT qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Medical Terminology Level 2 or 3
  • Experience of working in a health care setting
  • Experience of working in Primary Care.
  • Emis user skills
