SALARIED GP sessions negotiable

Due to relocation abroad of one of our colleagues an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and supportive practice.

We are:

• A 12,300 patient, four partner practice at the very heart of our community in a suburb of Poole which operates from a modern and spacious purpose built surgery where you will have your own room.
• A low visiting practice and the visits we do have are ably carried out by our prescribing Paramedic.
• A young population of working families.
• A teaching practice which has ensured we keep education and learning at the forefront of everything we do.
• Systems in place behind the scenes to ensure that workloads are manageable.

Main duties of the job

Our ethos is very patient centred, delivering excellent care to our patients and we use SystmOne to its full advantage as well as ICE blood requesting and digital dictation software.

As a Salaried GP you will be responsible for the day to day needs of our patient population with appointment slots, administration, education meetings etc.

A close working relationship with our PCN gives access to a variety of PCN services such as First Contact Practitioners, Dieticians, Podiatrists, Physios, Care Coordinators, Social Prescribers etc and access to the weekly MDT for any patients we wish to involve social care, community matrons, geriatricians etc with.

• Our daily huddle after each morning surgery where we meet for coffee which is an opportunity to come together with GP colleagues, the ANP/Paramedic and Managers for any support/clinical knowledge sharing or just an unwind, has moved us from siloed working to being a truly integrated team.
• Two long standing, innovative Practice Managers who have vast experience within Primary Care ensure that GP colleagues are not over-burdened throughout their working week by putting in place administrative systems and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the practice behind the scenes
• A dedicated P.A team will support you in your daily work
• A gold standard workflow system ensures that actions on letters are completed by our team before they get to the clinician, freeing up time and administrative burden.
• An excellent Advanced Nurse Practitioner looks after our care home patients, assisted by our Frailty HCA. Both our ANP and Paramedic also see a large proportion of our acute on the day patients supporting our day to day work.
• We have an inclusive and supportive ethos and our salaried GP colleagues are encouraged to contribute to the running of the practice, bringing new ideas and innovation to the bi-weekly partners meeting.
• An expert nursing team manage all our long term conditions with access to Diabetic and Respiratory Nurse Specialists.
• A Pharmacist attached to the practice who is working closely with us to deliver Structured Medication reviews and improve patient safety.
