Job summary
We are seeking a
motivated and experienced Office Manager to join our practice due to
retirement. The ideal candidate will
have a background in overall Office Management, or administration from a
healthcare setting (ideally from a GP practice but this is not essential). The successful candidate will report directly
to the Senior Management team and will work closely with the practice
Partnership, clinical and administration teams.
Main duties of the job
You must be able to
thrive in a busy working environment, effectively manage your time and be proactive
in your approach to work, with the ability to prioritise, delegate and work to
tight deadlines. You will need to have
experience in dealing with HR matters and will be responsible for the day to
day smooth operations of the practice, particularly for the production of
performance and quality standards within the practice.
The Office
Manager is a focal role and the main point of contact for the administration team
so you must be approachable, calm under pressure and have excellent interpersonal
skills.
Salary will be dependent on experience.
About us
We
are a GMS Practice with a list size of 12,500. We have 7 Partners, 4 salaried
GPs, 1 Nurse Practitioner, 1 Nurse Prescriber, 2 Paramedic Practitioners, 4 Practice Nurses, 1 Assistant Practitioner, 2
HCAs and a Phlebotomist who are supported by helpful and professional
management and administration teams. The whole Practice team is committed to
providing quality patient care and received a rating of "GOOD" at the
CQC inspection in 2016.

This is a hands-on role and the post holder will be required to carry
out work as part of the clerical team, as well as manage. This may be specific allocated tasks, taking a
turn in the tasks that are shared, supporting team members or covering for
absence.

must be willing and able to adapt to changing circumstances and be flexible in
their work and approach.
