Job summary
Hull Family Practice is looking for a part time (24 hours per week) qualified Pharmacy Technician to join our team of 3 Pharmacists, 1 Pharmacy Technician and 2 Pharmacy Administrators.
The successful pharmacy technician candidate will play an important role in complementing our clinical pharmacists and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
It is a requirement of the role to be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician. We are seeking a pharmacy technician preferably with previous experience of working in primary care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
- Support the Clinical Pharmacists in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services
- Perform medicines improvement work to maximise safe, cost-effective best practice in prescribing under the supervision of the GP or Clinical Pharmacist
- Assist with medication safety monitoring systems (e.g. high-risk drugs)
- Liaise with clinicians and administrative staff to resolve medicine-related queries
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide care to our patients within care homes
- Monitor practice prescribing and adherence to practice, local and national prescribing policies
- Improve service and quality through mechanisms such as audits

involved in the preparation of repeat
prescriptions and to participate in the daily preparation of repeat
prescriptions in order to ensure high quality, safe and timely repeat
prescribing
Understand

To support the pharmacists with medicines reconciliation in accordance with practice protocols and
to update patients medical records / prescribing accordingly

Operating Procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of
repeat prescribing systems
To provide advice to
GPs, staff and patients in changes to prescribing in order to support the

monitoring and management of prescribing the budgets and to liaise with
