Job summary

Claverley Medical Practice is looking to recruit a medical secretary. The role covers a range of duties such as referrals to NHS and private organisations. Liaising with other healthcare providers and patients.

The role is very social, engaging and is fully supported by other members of the team such as IT manager who will ensure all referral forms are available in Emis (our clinical system).

The role is a part time post 20 hours per week Monday-Friday.

Main duties of the job

Typing letters, reports and documentation as required, liaising with external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently.

You will be required to use various computerised systems including Emis, Accurx, microsoft office, outlook and choose and book.

Maintain an accurate referrals database and follow up on 2 week wait referrals.

Claverley Medical Practice is a small rural surgery with a dispensary on site. We have a great team who support each other and we generally have a very low staff turnover.

We have x2 partners, a salaried GP, a nurse and a health care assistant along with dispensing staff and a full administrative team.
