We are looking for someone who enjoys coming to

Main duties of the job
The candidate will be required to cover 10 weeks sabbatical from June 28th 2021 to September 3rd 2021.
Working 6 booked surgeries per week your appointments will be at 10 minute intervals, 15 patients per session plus extras.
Personal list system to include both reactive and proactive medical care.
Home visits - shared on an equitable basis with preferance given to visiting own patient lists.
On call duties
Associated paperwork to include acting on incoming letters, processing of lab linked results, processing other test results, insurnace forms and reports.
Record keeping using EMIS web system.

and the Bristol suburbs of Monks Park, Horfield, Henleaze and Westbury on Trym on its boundaries.

are an 8 doctor Practice, looking after approximately 9,000 patients, our
patient population being varied. We are located
within a modern purpose built building with extensive car parking.

same day appointments and our GPs run personal lists so that our patients can

Job responsibilities
The post-holder will manage a caseload
and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring
the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
Clinical
Responsibilities:
- In accordance with
the Practice timetable and as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves
available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery
consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at
home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries,
paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion
- Making professional,
autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether
self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the
organisation
- Assessing the health
care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- Screening patients
for disease risk factors and early signs of illness
- In consultation with
patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols,
developing care plans for health
- Providing counselling
and health education
- Admitting or
discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care
providers as appropriate
- Recording clear and
contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
- Collecting data for
audit purposes
- Compiling and issuing
computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions (avoiding hand-written
prescriptions whenever possible)
- Prescribing in
accordance with the local prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever
this is clinically appropriate
- In general the
post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and
responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

- GP Registration
- Induction and inclusion on the National Medical Performers List (NMPL)
- At least 2 years experience as a GP in a primary care setting.
