Job summary

Westrop Medical Practice have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist/Administrator and are seeking an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to fulfil this role within our expanding busy reception team at Highworth Surgery.

Main duties of the job

An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality

An ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, common sense with a proactive approach to change

Excellent communication skills

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

Be able to work additional and flexible hours.

Highworth Surgery is situated 6 miles north of Swindon.

JOB ADVERTISEMENT

RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATOR HIGHWORTH SURGERY

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person who has worked with the public and has good computer skills to join our friendly Practice team.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Operations Manager

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB

An understanding, acceptance and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.

An ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, common sense. A proactive approach to change.

Excellent communication skills.

Be able to work additional and flexible hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Booking and updating appointments

Dealing with incoming calls from patients, doctors and hospital departments.

Liaising with patients, doctors and hospital departments.

Administrative support to the Practice as appropriate.

The successful candidate should preferably have:

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

High attention to detail

Good interpersonal skills

Flexible approach

Team player with ability to work without direct supervision

Previous Reception/Customer Service experience

Relevant qualification would be beneficial however not essential.

The role is 30 hours per week
