Job summary
We are a busy and rapidly expanding GP surgery looking for a full time, experienced Medical Receptionist/Administrator for an immediate start.
You will be required to work between our main site at Manor Street, Glossop and our two other sites, in Glossop and Hadfield.
The successful candidates will be the first point of contact for our patients and will have excellent customer care skills along with a pleasant and helpful personality. You will be willing to take part in all aspects of surgery activity and have a good work ethic and proactive attitude to your role. Duties will include, but are not extensive to:
Manning our front reception desk and assisting our patients both face to face and by telephone. You will also be proficient at dealing with all practice administration including communication via email and online correspondence.
Prior experience of working in a General Practice setting would be desirable, however we will happily consider candidates who have exceptional customer care, IT and communication skills (incl. email & Microsoft Office applications)

Greeting and welcoming visitors
Booking, amending and cancelling appointments and Care Navigation of patients to the appropriate clinician or service
Assisting GPs with administrative tasks as part of our new online triage HUB
Managing correspondence
Carrying out requests from
management as needed
Maintaining stock and ordering
supplies
Answering emails and sorting post
Any other duties required by the
GP practice and consistent with the role
