communication and organisation skills, including an ability to prioritise,
multi-task and work to deadlines.
Main duties of the job
To process clinical correspondence safely and efficiently ensuring that it is accurately coded and ensuring that actions are identified and appropriate issues are passed on to the relevant healthcare professional in line with agreed clinical protocols.
Sending out invitations and requests for information to patients. Coding data and working with clinicians and members of the reception and admin teams.

19 Beaumont Street is looking for an Administrator to provide support in running the surgery day-to-day. As an ever-growing practice with around 24,000 patients, we need an extra pair of hands to manage the workload that comes with this! Our friendly team is made up of around 70 people, some of which have worked for 19BS for 30 years!

Job responsibilities
- To process
practice correspondence (paper, electronic and Email) attaching it to the
patient record
- To read
code accurately the diagnosis, procedures and investigations, identifying and
carrying out actions e.g. contacting patients to make appointments
- Identify
the complex and high risk areas that require input or knowledge from the
clinical team including safeguarding
- Work
closely with the receptionists, administration team and clinicians to ensure
that the Practice provides a safe and high quality service to the practice
- Develop a
protocol and work plan for the management of the workflow so that any
shortfalls in capacity or increases in demand are escalated so that
correspondence is processed within agreed timescales A protocol also needs to
be developed so that others can assist with this work if the demand is high or
if the postholder is on leave.
- Identify
areas for potential improvement in processes and systems using the experience
of work flowing and analysing the data gathered making comparisons to
understand what good looks like.
- Occasional
reception duties to cover for reception training or sick leave
- QOF
monitoring to contact patients and enter/code resulting data, including
highlighting any medical problems to clinicians.
- To send

your line manager
