Job summary
May Lane Surgery is a busy GP Practice dedicated to
delivering excellent healthcare to our patients. We are looking for a Lead GP Receptionist
to complement our friendly and supportive team, If you are enthusiastic and
have great people and communication skills, we would like to hear from you.
The role will ensure excellent service and adherence to our
practice policies and protocols. Responsible for the day to day running of
reception, supporting and supervising a team of more than 10 Receptionists, managing
workload, training, on the spot problem solving, and acting as a link between
reception and the management team, whilst still spending time answering phones
and dealing with patients face to face.
£12.50 per hr
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a friendly,
enthusiastic and committed team member with excellent communication/
interpersonal skills.
The role will include answering
phones, navigating patients to the correct service/appointments, manning the front
desk, scanning, prescriptions and other administrative tasks requested by the
GPs.
Experience of working in the NHS
or with SystmOne would be an advantage but is not essential.
The role would also include fostering
team growth by guiding, training, and supporting our reception team. Managing various administrative tasks,
including absence monitoring and training needs. You would also collaborate
closely with the Practice and Operations Managers on patient care and
administrative duties.
Ideally, a Lead Receptionist would
have shifts every day, Monday to Friday inclusive, though full-time (37.5hrs)
is not essential.

HCAs, Phlebotomists and a Young Peoples Support Worker. This is all supported
by an extensive team of Receptionists, Secretaries and Administrators.
