Job summary
PART TIME: 15 HOURS PER WEEK
Due to
retirement, an exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join our established
and successful team as a part-time Health Care Assistant.
The
successful applicant will join a nursing staff of 2 other Health Care
Assistants and 3 Practice Nurses. In total we are a team of 39 staff and GPs,
with 5 GP Partners, 2 salaried GPs and a Clinical Pharmacist making up our
clinical work force.
As a
minimum, the role-holder will be qualified to undertake venepuncture and
patient health checks and will be required train to complete the full list of
clinical procedures as listed in the Job Description and Person Specification.
The successful applicant must hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Health Care qualification.
You will be expected to work during the surgery opening
hours, between 7.45am and 6.30pm. Flexibility to changes shifts to cover
sickness and annual leave is an essential requirement of this role.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced & dedicated HCA to join our nursing team. To support the practice nursing and administrative teams in the delivery of clinical and administrative services, working as part of the practice multi-disciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to the entitled patient population.
The successful candidate will have experience in HCA duties, be enthusiastic, confident and familiar with policies & procedures.
