Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive Assistant Practice Manager at Great Bridge Partnerships for Health.

You will work alongside the 2 existing Practice Managers to ensure the smooth, efficicent, day to day running of the practice.

Candidates must be conscientious, provide solid leadership and have some knowledge of CQC, business management, finance, HR along with local quality schemes e.g QOF and PCCF.

Main duties of the job

The main duties are as follows:

- Managing the reception & administrative teams to ensure the highest quality of patient care is provided at all times

- Monitor staff annual leave, sickness and absence and mitigate any impact to practice staffing rotas

- Plan/assist in planning and recruitment of Locum cover

- Plan/assist in recruiting clinical and non clinical members of staff

- Offer general assistant to the Practice Managers in the day to day running of the Practice

- Undertake a variety of managerial duties to assist the smooth running of the practice

- Facilitate the effective communication between patients, practice staff and other healthcare agencies

Great Bridge Partnerships aims to provide high quality care to our patient population of just over 16, 600 across four sites.

We are located in Sandwell in the West Midlands.

Our head office is 10 Slater Street, Tipton, DY4 7EY. Our branch sites are 1a Cordley Street, West Bromwich, B70 9NQ, 40 Izons Road, West Bromwich, B70 8PG and Yew Tree Healthy Living Centre, Redwood Road, Sandwell, WS5 4LB.

We are a GMS practice with 4 partners & a list size of just over 16,600 patients. The multidisciplinary team includes GPs, ANP, Practice Nurses, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and First Contact Physiotherapist. We have 2 Practice Manager with the support of an efficient administrative and reception team.
