Job summary

We have a very exciting new opportunity to join the team at Great Bridge Partnerships for upto 2 part time or 1 full time enthusiastic and flexible individuals to compliment our existing team, you would be providing support where necessary across the 4 sites on a rota basis , supporting annual leave and sickness cover, and be willing to learn and support all administrative tasks associated within General Practice.

The post will require flexibility to be able to cover any of the tasks outlined below at any of the sites as per the requirements of the reception rota to cover sickness and annual leave, all in liaison with either the senior receptionist or the site managers.

You will either have a broad spectrum of knowledge, to encompass reception, secretarial, prescribing support to others, or be willing to learn and develop.

Main duties of the job

Reception

You will need to have a good understanding and management of the non clinical staffing rota, and be able to liaise with all staff to cover sickness / annual leave at all sites.

Patient Services

Ensure that the Practice complies with NHS contractual obligations in relation to patient care Contribute to the management of effective appointment systems

Workflow

Have a good understanding or all workflow processes and being able to pull documents through from docman and process through the clinical system

Prescription POD

Have a good understanding of how the prescription POD works and be able to support the processing of prescriptions when we require support at busy periods.

Secretarial

Effectively generate referrals through choose and book and other provider routes, as per practice policy. Provide support to the secretarial team offering cover for annual leave and sickness and providing additional support during busy periods

Information Technology

Lead on all aspects of IT for the practice.

We are a friendly flexible working practice who operates across 4 sites across Sandwell.

We have a list size of approximately 16,000 patients and a full compliment of admin and clinical staff, including nurse consultant, Advance Nurse Practitioners, physiotherapists, mental health practitioner and clinical pharmacists.
