Job summary
At Everest House Surgery, paramedics play a vital role in the delivery of same-day, acute care services. As part of our on-the-day service, they assess and manage patients presenting with acute illnesses or urgent health concerns, always working within their scope of practice and clinical competence.
Paramedics contribute significantly to reducing the demand on GPs by providing timely assessment, treatment, and onward referral when necessary. They also conduct home visits for acutely unwell patients who require urgent care but are unable to attend the surgery, ensuring continuity and accessibility of care for our most vulnerable patients.
Working closely with the GP team and wider multidisciplinary colleagues, our paramedics form an integral part of the urgent care servicehelping to ensure patients receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place.
