Job summary
An exciting
opportunity has arisen for a GP to work within Holgate PCNs Urgent Care Hub
supporting our 3 PCN Practices with a population of 45k patients. We are
looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, highly motivated & who will
contribute to our provision of high quality, patient centred care. We are
particularly looking for a newly qualified GP who is within two years of the date of their certificate of completion of
training (CCT), issued by the General Medical Council. GPs who are within a few months of completion
of training may also be considered.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a hardworking, committed GP whose duties will include
assessing, diagnosing, and treating predominantly acute, same day
presentations. Duties will also include working as part of our Urgent Care Hub
team, contributing to the development of our hub & integrating within our
PCN team, working as instructed by our Clinical Director & Senior Manager.
About us
Holgate Primary Care Network (PCN) consists of the following 3 practices
in the Middlesbrough area. Linthorpe Surgery, Borough Road & Nunthorpe
Medical Group & Village Medical Centre. Two of our practices are well
established training practices with excellent GP Support. We have a highly
skilled & varied PCN team consisting of many roles such as Mental Health
Practitioners, Physiotherapists, Care Home Practitioners, Social Prescribers,
Safeguarding Lead etc alongside a supportive management and care coordinator
team.
Our Urgent Care Hub team consists of x2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, an
Advanced Paediatric Practitioner and Paramedic. This role will involve working
closely with this team and support will be embedded from our current GP team.

setting.
Work with clinical colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care
are provided for all registered and temporary patients.
Undertake a variety of duties such as face to face consultations,
telephone consultations, prescribing, dealing with queries, home visits and
general duties associated with a GP working in Primary Care.
Contribute
to planning and decision-making as part of the wider PCN team.
Review and always adhere to
practice protocols and policies.
Attend
training events organised by the PCN, where appropriate.

- Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate).
- General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained.
- On/eligible to be on a medical performers list
- Enhanced CRB check
- UK driving license
- Current CPR certificate
- UK work permit (if required)
Desirable
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Other Post Graduate Diplomas
Experience
Essential
- Successfully completed General Practice Specialist Training.
- Clinical and Information Governance Self audit and reflection.
- Organised and efficient in record keeping and completion of paperwork.

- To be able to work under pressure.
- Computer Literacy.
