Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our small semi-rural
Dispensing General Practice in Scholar Green. As one of our Partners retires in
spring 2025, we are looking to recruit a new partner in our purpose built
modern surgery.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as one of a multi-disciplinary team of
GPs, nurses and other clinicians delivering general practice services to the
practice population, providing an excellent standard of clinical care.
Providing a range of General Practice consultations, telephone calls, home
visits, urgent and non-urgent appointments. Assisting in the development of the
Practices healthcare services for a diverse patient list.
About us
We are based in South East Cheshire on the border with
Staffordshire and are part of the SMASH PCN serving the populations of
Sandbach, Middlewich, Alsager, Scholar Green and Haslington. Our Practice has 4,500 patients.

- To make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to patient presented problems
- To assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
- To prescribe medication adhering to local and national guidance
- To effectively manage patient long-term conditions
- To process referrals, repeat prescriptions requests and other associated administrative tasks in a timely manner
- To maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with good practice, policy and guidance
- To work collaboratively with colleagues, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- To adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and audit processes
