Job summary

We are currently looking to recruit a hardworking, conscientious and dedicated GP to join our small and friendly practice based in the picturesque location of Christchurch.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will be key in the co-ordination of patient care and will be supported by all members of MDT, therefore, the ability to work collaboratively is an essential part of day-to-day service. The post holder will have experience of caseload management and a quality improvement mindset is desirable, as regular clinical audits are undertaken to improve patient care. A reasonable standard of IT skills is essential, as is familiarity with SystmOne, AccruRx & eConsult. Candidates must exhibit sound clinical judgement, decision making and knowledge in assessment, diagnosis and care planning and by delivering evidence-based care that is responsive to patient's needs.

About us

The Farmhouse Surgery is a successful and forward-thinking GMS practice, hosting medical services to approximately 6,000 patients in and around the Christchurch area. The team comprises of 3 experienced GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 2 Nurses and 2 HCAs, plus a team of supportive and experienced administrative and operational staff. We are part of the Christchurch PCN, where we have support from an urgent response service, podiatry service,MSK practitioners, a team of social prescribers, mental health team and health and wellbeing coaches.We also have an exceptional support network for our care home residents, a weekly GP ward round and an excellent frailty team.

To develop and maintain clinical skills and knowledge necessary to deliver an evidence-based service
