Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

We are a GP Practice based in the Barnton area of Northwich (Cheshire) looking to appoint one or two Practice Administrators to our amazing team. All of our administrators work across varying roles, including reception, prescribing admin, secretarial, documents and coding. We want our staff to develop in an area they are excited and passionate about, as well as being able to support each other, therefore we offer all staff the opportunity to experience all parts of the admin role. As a Practice, we want to develop our capacity to support our patients and look at exciting future projects, therefore while the job title is 'administrator', the role is a lot more. We are looking for someone able to cover Wednesdays-Fridays but if you are looking for a full-time position please contact us to discuss. You're welcome to contact us to discuss the role with one of our admin team already in post to find out more - please do call in and see what it is all about.

Main duties of the job

Ideally we are looking for 27 hours Weds-Fri, however we are flexible and those looking for a more full-time role should still apply. We're all about the right person and we're happy to discuss options. Staff cover shifts between 8.00am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday with shared responsibility for opening early during our extended access hours (7.30am). All Practices in Northwich are signed up to provide Extended Access for our patients, so there is always a possibility of future weekend work on a shared-rota basis. Although based mainly in reception to cover our 'core' role, we allow all admin staff to cross-cover the various positions in Practice, and would expect the ideal candidate to be excited by a role that can include some clerical, secretarial or prescribing administration, as well as some project work and development.

About us

We are a hugely supportive and friendly practice, and we encourage all our staff to develop their own goals for a rewarding workplace. Staffing-wise we have a wide variety within our team: GP Partners, 2 Practice Nurses, a Healthcare Assistant, a Practice Pharmacist and Trainee Pharmacy Technician, a Senior Care Coordinator, 2 Care Coordinators, an Office Manager, a Senior Administrator, a Business Manager and Practice Manager and 9 administrators with various specialities (secretarial, prescribing admin, clerical). We can offer a competitive salary, generous holiday allowances, and training and development opportunities, both in-house and externally.

We enjoy close links with other local practices through Northwich Primary Care Network (PCN), linking in closely with other service providers, such as CWP, CCICP, local Schools, Town Council etc.We take our responsibility to our patients extremely seriously but ensure our staff are supported at all times.
