Job summary

Irchester Surgery are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our admin team as a Medical Receptionist.

We are a GP Practice located in the village of Irchester. We have around 4000 patients.

We are looking for a part time receptionist. The hours of work - 2:30pm - 6:30pm. Monday - Friday ( 20 hours a week).

The successful candidate would be required to work flexibility to cover annual leave/sickness.

Experience of working for the NHS is an advantage but not essential. The role requires the successful applicant to have good IT skills, experience with dealing with the general public, working as a team, multi-tasking and prioritising workload.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties;

-Dealing with enquiries from patients at the reception desk

- Answering calls

- Day-to-day admin tasks.

To ensure that patients & other visitors are greeted & their inquiries are dealt with

To ensure that new patients are registered as necessary

To ensure that takings are recorded

To ensure that practice mail is opened / emails are checked & appropriate action is taken.

To accept deliveries, checking and storing items received as necessary
