Job summary
Full Time Patient Co-Ordinator required to join a large and friendly admin team at a City Centre GP surgery. Excellent customer service, communication, team working and IT skills essential plus the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Previous reception and admin experience desirable but not essential as full training will be given. 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm.
Main duties of the job
It is the duty of each Patient Co-Ordinator to assist in the smooth running of the Practice. To project a positive and friendly image to our patients, colleagues and all other visitors. Carry out all reception admin duties in a courteous and efficient manner including answering incoming calls, booking appointments, opening post, processing new patient registrations, issuing prescriptions and scanning and filing patient correspondence.
About us
A large and busy City Centre GP Surgery with a branch surgery 5 miles north of the City. There is a large clinical team of GP's, |GP Registrars and a Nursing Team including Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Treatment Room Nurses, Nurse Associate, Healthcare Assistant and Phlebotomists who are supported by a large administrative team. We also have physiotherapists, counsellors, dietitians and community midwives working at the surgery Our philosophy in practice is to care for patients in a a personal and friendly manner and to look after patients with empathy and sympathy on all levels.
