Job summary

We are looking for a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our existing team. The ideal candidate will be able to act as an autonomous practitioner providing clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients. In addition to this, the following will also be required:

Non-medical prescribing Minimum 5 years post registration experience

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience of working within a multidisciplinary environment

You will join a friendly, cohesive and forward thinking Primary Health Care Team in a fully EMIS computerised Practice.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To deliver a high standard of patient care in general practice, using advanced autonomous clinical skills, and a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base.

To manage a clinical caseload, dealing with presenting patients needs in a primary care setting

To develop the nursing services offered by the practice

Manage Chronic Disease Clinics

To collaborate across all multi-agencies for the benefit of patients

To act as mentor for student nurses and medical students providing clinical leadership

Selecting, carrying out and interpreting the results of specific tests.

To prescribe safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by legislative framework and within agreed prescribing areas as discussed with lead GP.

Contribute to the practice achieving its quality targets to sustain the high standards of patient care and service delivery

Help, develop and set up new patients services and participate in initiatives to improve existing patient services.

To be computer literate

Maintain accurate patient records and statistics

Promote evidence-based practice through the use of the latest research-based guidelines

To provide a high standard of Professional conduct and Nursing care at all times

To work in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct

To attend relevant meetings, courses, seminars and keep professionally up-to- date
