37.5hrs per week, Monday - Friday

We're seeking a proactive Management Support Assistant to join our GP practice, supporting the management team with HR and compliance. You'll handle HR administration, support recruitment and induction, maintain employee records, and assist with compliance tasks, including audits and policy monitoring. The ideal candidate should be organised, detail-oriented, IT-savvy, and familiar with HR and healthcare regulations. This is a key role that contributes to the smooth operation of our practice within a friendly and collaborative team.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of the role is to provide HR and Compliance support to the HR Manager and Executive Manager.

Job responsibilities

HR

Assist with the daily running of HR operations.

Provide administrative and clerical support to the HR Manager.

Create, maintain, and update employee records accurately and in line with GDPR.

Support the HR Manager with staff recruitment.

Liaise with candidates and arrange interview schedules.

Inform the Finance team of any updates or changes to employee contracts.

Offer guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices under the direction of the HR Manager.

Manage resignation documentation and coordinate with the Finance team as necessary.

Perform general administrative duties relevant to HR.

Ensure strict confidentiality in all HR matters.

Contribute to HR projects and special initiatives.

Compliance

Assist with the implementation and monitoring of practice policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and NHS guidance.

Maintain and update compliance records, registers, and documentation.

Support internal audits and quality assurance activities, including audits.

Monitor deadlines for mandatory tasks such as staff appraisals, revalidation, and certifications.

Liaise with external bodies, including NHS England, CQC, and other regulatory agencies, under the direction of senior management.

Provide administrative support for compliance projects and initiatives.

Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
