An opportunity has arisen for a friendly hard-working
receptionist/s to join the team here at Barnt Green
Surgery
The role will be for 15 hours
per week covering the following shifts and there will also be the need to
support the team with holiday and sickness cover.
Monday 1-7pm
Tuesday2-7pm
Thursday 1-5pm
Youd
be joining a motivated and supportive team of professionals lead by our 3
young GP Partners. The successful candidate would be enthusiastic and a good
team player who wishes to deliver an excellent quality of care and contribute
to our wider teams progression. We have a strong team ethos and prioritise
changes to improve the teams work-life balance.
Main duties of the job
To
ensure the smooth running of the surgery by:
Assisting
patients to access the most appropriate service or healthcare professional in a
polite, courteous, and effective way.
Providing
general assistance to the practice team and projecting a positive and friendly
image to patients and other visitors.
To
carry out a variety of administrative tasks for the efficient running of the
Practice.
About us
Barnt Green Surgery is a small to medium
sized surgery with a friendly and loyal compliment of staff who work with our
experienced and supportive management and administrative team. We are a high
achieving QOF practice and pride ourselves on a providing a high standard of
clinical care which results in us being held in high regard by our
patients. Youd be part of a clinical
team comprising of a salaried GP, 2 Physicians Associates, a Nurse Prescriber,
2 Practice Nurses, 2 Clinical Pharmacists and 2 HCAs.

- To
receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls to facilitate timely and
appropriate communications with others.
- To
book patient appointments with clinical staff with support of triaging GP
- To
liaise with GPs, nursing staff, the Practice Manager, or any other member of
the practice team regarding patient-related queries.
- To
receive and dispatch external mail both in hard and electronic format
- In
absence of front desk team Receive
incoming registration forms, make necessary checks for living within boundary
and ID. Scan forms and register as required
- To ensure
building security and complete opening and closing procedures when working.
- Assist with any
front desk duties required by patients or team in absence of front desk team
- To carry out
a variety of administrative tasks for the efficient running of the Practice.
