Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategy and Business Development Lead to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team at Brookside Group Practice. This role provides a great opportunity to join a committed and forward-thinking team.

We are looking for an individual who will be able to seek out new business opportunities, explore collaborative working and demonstrate good leadership. The individual will need to be able to work as part of a team but also be able to work independently.

Main duties of the job

This job role is on a fixed term 6 month contract, there is possibility the contract could be extended. This job role is paid by day rate of £400-£500.

The candidate will need to be able to work on a Wednesday and/or Friday working hours equivalent to 1 day a week.

The Strategy and Business Development Lead will support the development of Brookside Group Practice strategy and business planning process, provide advice on matters related to commercial activities and identify organisational development opportunities which are in line with Brookside Group Practice stategy based on purpose and values.

About us

We have a team of around 130 people, working across 4 sites, which includes; Doctors, Practice Nurses, Primary Care Paramedics, Physician Associates, Healthcare Associates, Pharmacists, Health and Wellbeing Advisors, Support and Administration staff. We have a very strong emphasis on good teamwork.

We recently won the HSJ (Health Services Journal) Digital Award for our innovative work we've done to refine our triage processes and model of care.

We operate a strongly relational team structure and endeavour to listen well, encourage ownership and involvement, and enable staff to grow in their individual development.   • Demonstrable senior management experience particularly on strategy and business development.
  • Abe to undertake horizon scanning activities to identify and maximise opportunities aligned to both local and national development trends.
  • Skills to empower, influence, coach, enable and support employees.
  • Strong desire to innovate.
  • Well-developed negotiation skills.
  • The ability to think and act strategically and to articulate a clear sense of direction and vision to a wide audience.
  • Able to work to demanding timelines and be resilient under pressure.
  • IT literate with well-developed skills.
  • Proven analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions by determining key points from complex data and multiple information strands.
