Job summary
We are a busy, enthusiastic and good humoured practice looking for a like-minded Salaried GP to join our team. We can offer a fixed 12 month contract or permanent contract depending on which is desired, and between 4 and 6 sessions per week. The work is clinically diverse and stimulating and we have a strong, supportive and hard-working team with all work commitments distributed on a fair shares basis.
Main duties of the job
The following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
b. The provision of services commensurate with the PMS contract
c. Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
d. Effective management of long-term conditions
e. Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
f. Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
g. Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
h. Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
i. Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
j. Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF

We aim to keep GP workload manageable and as well as diversifying the workforce we have successfully implemented health navigation, 15 minute appointments and timetabled coffee, lunch and admin. We have no on call/duty doctor.
We are forward thinking and work in close collaboration with our South Bristol Locality as well as our neighbouring 8 practices as part of the SWIFT PCN.
