Job summary

JOB TITLE: Administrator

HOURS: 30 hours per week, plus overtime when available

Grange Road Surgery, a busy, friendly, GP surgery in South Bristol has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated administrator to join our dynamic team. This permanent role is well suited to an individual that is looking to gain experience within a busy healthcare environment, in a thriving and supportive workplace.

The post holder will assist the Practice Manager and Operations Managers to deliver high quality administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Practice.

Job responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Administrator

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

HOURS: 30 hours per week, plus overtime when available

Admin:

To complete all working rotas within the practice including, GP rotas, nurse rotas, extended hours rotas, room rotas.

To complete placement timetables for incoming medical students

To complete induction timetables for incoming new staff and staff on placement

To complete culling and summarising of new notes as directed by management

To complete and reconcile petty cash on a monthly basis

Ordering of stationery and other non-medical consumable items used by the practice

Multi-team support:

To provide prescription clerk cover and remain up to date with the current processes

To provide document management cover and remain up to date with the current processes

To provide reception cover and remain up to date with the current processes

Assist with medical report requests (e.g. for insurance companies)

Clinical Governance Compliance:

Manage the call and recall system ensuring that sufficient clinics are available to meet patient need

Support the clinical teams with routine and ad hoc searches and audits

Manage the COVID vaccination system for the surgery, Outcomes for Health

Manage the diabetic eye screening process

Ensure safety searches are ran and actioned every month

Ensure all DNAs for cancer screenings and diabetic screenings are coded and followed up

Manage campaigns to promote immunisation uptake e.g. flu /Men ACWY/MMR and ensure child immunisations returns are completed within the timescale

Manage and promote child immunisations, reporting any missed immunisations to CHIS when requested

Manage coding of vaccinations given by other healthcare professionals e.g. Schools, Hospitals

Create searches and reports to assist search and recalls, reporting and auditing of services
