Wakefield North Primary Care Network (PCN) is excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our growing and supportive multidisciplinary team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a registered Pharmacy Technician who is passionate about improving patient care and medicines optimisation within primary care. You will play a key role supporting safe and effective prescribing across our member GP practices, working closely with Clinical Pharmacists, GPs and the wider healthcare team.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will join a growing multi-disciplinary team, working collaboratively to support GP practices and improve patient outcomes. The team includes Care Coordinators, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Paramedics, Health and Wellbeing Coaches, a Social Prescribing Link Worker, Outreach Nurses, and a Mental Health Practitioner.
The Pharmacy Technician is an integral member of the general practice team, working within professional boundaries across practices within the PCN. The role operates under the supervision of the PCN Clinical Pharmacists to support the safe, accurate and timely use of prescribed medicines.
The postholder will provide technical and clinical support to Clinical Pharmacists and clinicians with the practices, including responding to medication-related queries, undertaking medicines reconciliation following care transitions and supporting prescribing safety through audits and data presentation. The role may also involve patient-facing work, including the delivery of technician-led clinics where appropriate.
