Job summary
In our new Managing Director are looking for someone who can relate to the needs of those in our community and who is keen to make a difference with us; someone who will:
· Embed the transition of Conexus to Community Interest Company status;
· Provide visible, confident and compassionate internal and external leadership through continuing organisational and system-wide change;
· Play a strong role leading the coordination of the General Practice voice into the Place Based Partnership committees and alliances, driving collaboration and co-ordination and ensuring the reputation, accountability and influence of General Practice
· Develop a cohesive and joined up approach within our places, with the primary aim of addressing inequalities across all aspects of the lives of the members of our communities;

Main duties of the job
In this role you will:
Lead Conexus Healthcare as a thriving business. Develop the organisation, its staff, partners & wider team members with a focus on growth & sustainability, improve existing services & develop new areas of innovative practice and service development.
Support and reinforce our open, positive ‘can do’ & progressive culture that supports business growth & makes Conexus an enjoyable and fulfilling place to work.
Operate as a key advisor to & member of the Conexus Board of Directors. Be responsible for the effective governance of the organisation. Ensure that the actions of the Conexus Board are those which will contribute to ensuring the best decisions for the patients of local practices.
Manage the key risks & issues associated with delivery of the organisational strategy. Ensure appropriate actions are taken to mitigate or respond and that Conexus Healthcare operates within its resources and in accordance with contractual specifications.
Engage at a senior level within the Wakefield Health System, liaising, negotiating & collaborating with all partners to the benefit of the local population.
