Job summary
Our aim is to provide the best possible healthcare to enable our patients to live well. This is achieved through a highly motivated, effective, and efficient Practice team.
To provide an effective and efficient Clinical Document Management system across the Practice through the Document Navigation Team and to develop improvements through the advance use of technology and enhanced processes.
Toimprove the experience of patients through reviewing and acting upon patient communication with the Practice.
Main duties of the job
Line Management To act as the Direct Line Manager and team lead to the Document Navigation Team across all Practice sites.
To act as a role model to the team and others, supporting, motivating, and promoting good staff and patient relations.
To undertake probation reviews.
To undertake Coaching for Performance staff annual reviews. Supporting staff with the achievement of their objectives and their continuing personal development.
To undertake return to work interviews following absences. To assess the role specific and individual training needs of the team and liaise with theOperations Managers / HR / Practice Manager as appropriate on the delivery of training.
To ensure the teams workload is completed in a timely manner.
To ensure team members are working to the required standard, providing support as appropriate for complex queries and issues.
To communicate effectively with partners, managers, team members, other staff, patients and external stakeholders.
To ensure adequate cover is available across the team at all times, including during periods of unexpected absence.
To liaise with appropriate management team members concerning staffing and organisation of work.
To ensure practice policies are followed and accurate records are kept, with particular reference to: post, filing systems, medical records, scanning, matching and coding of patient correspondence and documents, summarising and management of the Patient Services inbox.
