Job summary

Main duties of the job
- To deliver appropriate management, treatment and advice to our patients
- To uphold the principles of good medical practice as stated in the GMC statement of professional values and responsibilities:
- Make the care of your patient your first concern
- Treat every patient politely and considerately
- Respect patients' dignity and privacy
- Listen to patients and respect their views
- Give patients information in a way they can understand
- Respect the rights of patients to be fully involved in decisions about their care
- Recognise the limits of your professional competence
- Act quickly to protect patients from risk if you have good reason to believe that you or a colleague may not be fit to practice
- To provide general practice consultations to patients and, where appropriate, physical examinations for the purposes of identifying or reducing the risk of disease or injury.
- To arrange referrals for patients where appropriate.
- To provide reports and information to external agencies for the benefit of patients, e.g. social services
- To ensure that clear, accurate contemporaneous records are made of all patient encounters.
- There is the opportunity to become involved with teaching at the practice if desired, or perhaps you would like the opportunity to progress a specialism with support and mentoring

This role is suitable for both newly qualified GPs and those already established.We have flexibility on the start date as it is really important that we get the right people for the posts so please get in contact if you are looking to start later this year.
