Job summary

Borth Surgery is a member of Cambria Primary Care GP federation which includes the 4 rural practices in North Ceredigion. We manage the administrative hub for note summarising and clinical coding for the practices and are working to develop a joint telephone answering and doctor first telephone triage and consultation service. We are working closely with Hywel Dda Local Health Board and Ceredigion County Council to develop integrated primary care and community services in the area.

Borth is a seaside village situated on the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline within close proximity of the Cambrian Mountains with good schools and great house prices. There are opportunities locally to pursue a variety of out-door activities and Aberystwyth has an active Arts Centre including a theatre, a cinema, sports facilities and many good pubs and restaurants.

Main duties of the job

You will work within the existing primary care team to deliver General Medical Services to the population of Borth and the surrounding area both in the GP surgery and on home visits. There will be the opportunity to develop an area of specialist interest alongside the other GPs. We are an active teaching practice and also participate in research and so it is possible to become involved in both. We are happy to consider applications from people interested in either a partnership or salaried position, full or part-time. You will need to hold a CCT in General Practice and be registered on the All Wales Medical Performers List. If you enjoy working in a small friendly team, want a good work life balance and would like the opportunity to deliver and develop GP and community services to a rural population in Mid Wales this is the job for you.

About us
