Job summary

Due to the retirement of our current audio typist/administrator we are looking for somebody to join our team. You will be working 25 hours per week over 5 days (Monday to Friday).

The starting date for this job will be 1st July 2024 but we may ask the successful candidate to attend for paid training with the current job holder before this date depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

The role will involve audio typing of GP referrals, reports and letters and other administrative duties.

Cloughmore Medical Centre is a friendly practice with over 8000 patients. We are based in Splott in a purpose built surgery. We have 5 gp partners as well as being a training practice. Our employees are able to join the generous NHS pension scheme.

Job responsibilities

Qualifications

Essential

  • Computer literate.
  • Typing skills ( you will be asked to undertake a typing test if you are shortlisted for the position)

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a gp practice and using the EMIS computer system.
  • Audio typing experience.
  • A basic knowledge of medical terminology.
