Job summary
South Saxon House Surgery is seeking a part-time Practice Nurse to join our small, friendly, and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a welcoming single-handed GP practice where patient care and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.
You will be part of a close-knit multidisciplinary team, working alongside a Partner GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Healthcare Assistant, and Physiotherapist. Previous experience working within a GP practice is desirable, and we are looking for someone who is approachable, motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
We offer a supportive working environment where your skills and experience will be valued, and where you can make a real difference to our patients and community.
Main duties of the job
As a practice nurse you will play a crucial role providing nursing care and treatment to our practice population. The role will involve child and adult immunisations (including travel vaccinations), cervical cytology, wound care and chronic disease management. While we are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse, we are happy to provide training in specialist areas to help you expand your skills and expertise.
