Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated GP Partner to become part of a forward thinking, dynamic and friendly practice located on the Fylde Coast.This position would involve working within our extensive clinical team which currently comprises of: 4 GP Partners; 3 Salaried GPs; 3 ANPs; 3 Prescribing Pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy Technician; 4 Practice Nurses and 3 Health Care Assistants. The team works hard to ensure that the patient care is at the forefront of their mind and that the care they deliver is of an extremely high standard and we are searching for a like minded individual to further enhance the team. We have just been successful in retaining our Investors in People Gold Award - an achievement that as a team we are immensely proud of. We offer a very supportive environment for all members of the team. The clinical team meet virtually on a daily basis to discuss any complex cases, share ideas and provide support to each other. This was introduced at the beginning of the pandemic and has been revolutionary for the practice, a positive change that has now become embedded in our daily routines at the surgery. We are keen to find the right individual to join Fernbank Surgery and will therefore would welcome discussions with any clinician that feel like they would relish this opportunity.

We currently hold a Tier 2 Sponsorship License.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant would be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.

Furthermore, the post-holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive and collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.

Fernbank Surgery has a positive working relationship with many external stakeholders in the local area and we would be keen for the successful applicant to continue with these positive relationships.

Fernbank Surgery is a busy practice made up of a team of 4 very versatile partners, who are supported by a host of salaried GPs, ANPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistants, a Management Team and a pillar of administration and reception staff members. We are a close knit team that is able to work together efficiently and effectively to ensure that our patients receive an exemplary level of care and service from all that are part of team Fernbank. We are a training practice and take pride in being able to pass on our knowledge, support and guidance to the clinicians of the future. Fernbank Surgery is proud to have been the designated Covid Vaccination Centre for the Lytham St Anne's PCN and has been delivering vaccinations to thousands of local patients since December 2020. The enormity of delivering a vaccination programme on this scale has required a vast amount of teamwork and dedication which the Fernbank Team has shown throughout. It really is an achievement to be proud of. Fernbank Surgery is located in Lytham, a beautiful coastal town located on the Fylde Coast.
