offer an opportunity for a dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our
clinical team at Greenlands Surgery, located at Stirling Medical
Centre, Stirling Street, Grimsby.
We are seeking a
motivated and compassionate HCA who will play a vital role in delivering a wide
range of healthcare services to our patients. The successful candidate will be
involved in:
Conducting NHS Health Checks
Administering Vaccinations
Performing Phlebotomy
Assisting GPs with Minor Surgery procedures

Main duties of the job

Assistants are an essential part of the clinical team, supporting both
the GPs and nursing staff while delivering high-quality patient care within
their professional boundaries.
As a HCA at
Greenlands Surgery, you will develop skills in a range of areas, including:
Health Checks including NHS Health Checks and Hypertension monitoring
Wound Care stitch removal and basic wound care
Spirometry Testing(optional, training can be provided)

Practice
Staff in this
role work under the indirect supervision of a registered practitioner, practice
nurses, and assistant practitioners.
It is strongly
recommended that candidates will have achieved the basic competencies outlined
in the Care Certificate. Health Care Assistants are expected to work
under their own initiative, taking responsibility for delegated tasks,
including defined clinical and therapeutic interventions within the limits of
their competence. This includes the delivery of routine clinical and
non-clinical duties, patient treatment, and care.
They will also be
expected to answer simple patient queries, provide flexible support to patients
and colleagues, and consistently demonstrate the delivery of compassionate,
patient-centred care.
