Townships1 Primary Care Network has an
exciting opportunity for a Physician Associate to work with Sothall Medical
Practice.
We are looking for a Physician
Associate to become part of the friendly, well-established team of 3 GP
Partners, 4 salaried GPs an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Physician Associate,
Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, administrative and reception
team at Sothall.
Sothall has over 20 years experience
in training GP registrars, F2s, medical, nurse and physician associate
students.
We are a forward-thinking team
committed to patient and staff wellbeing.
As a practice we aim to deliver a high
standard of care and are proactive in disease prevention and patient education.
Main duties of the job
The breadth of the role will be
interesting and varied to include:
First patient contact to include
history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis treatment and evaluation of
patient care
Long-term conditions Management
Safe, clinical decision-making and
expert care for patients within the general practice
Routine specialty clinics following
appropriate training e.g. Baby clinics
MDT case management / caseload
proactive support
Support with COVID vaccination
programme delivery
Telephone and virtual consultation 1:1
/ groups
Participate in the audit process and
evaluation
Implementing plans and practice to
change in order to meet patient need
Contribute positively to the
effectiveness and efficiency of the team and work colleagues
About us
Townships 1 is made up of 6 GP practices in Sheffield with a population of 41,000 patients.
The role of Townships 1 PCN is to help practices work at scale, providing targeted and effective patient care adn innoavie methods of workong to improve wuality and eficienty.

Essential
- Post-graduate Physician Associate (PG Diploma or Msc)
- Maintained professional registration with FPA Faculty of Physician Associates or GMC
- Has passed the UK Physician Associate National Re-certification Exam Required every 6 years
- Undertaking CPD opportunities and keeping up with evidence-base knowledge and competencies. Meeting Clinical Governance guidelines for CPD

- Experience working in primary care
