Job summary
Trinity Medical Centre is a large city centre practice with over 23,500 patients and over 40 clinical staff covering a range of expertise.
We are looking to expand our access team to include 2 Access Administrators responsible for improving access for patients and making sure they get the correct care for their needs.
The role will need someone that can communicate clearly and effectively with patients whilst remaining empathetic to their needs. Ideally you will have experience in a clinical administration role or have worked in Primary Care.

Main duties of the job
The role will involve speaking to patients regularly to ensure they speak to the right clinical staff as quickly as possible. You will monitor the appointment availability on a daily basis and monitor the capacity in practice.
Using SystmOne, you will be managing lists of patients that have made various requests and ensuring they are given the correct access to the care they need.
In addition to daily monitoring you will also be involved in future planning and maintaining the correct level of access for patients as the practice continues to grow.
The role will require someone who can use technology with ease as well as having a background in primary care or similar health setting.
This role will be full time 37.5 hours over 5 days (Mon-Fri) with optional overtime and flexible working patterns where possible. Job share may also be considered.
About us
Trinity Medical Centre is based in Wakefield City Centre and covers a large part of central Wakefield. We have a branch surgery at Sandal Castle Medical Centre which is a more rural area but our 23,500 patients are welcome to use both surgeries.

clinical teams are running smoothly on a day to day basis. A thorough knowledge
of the practice protocols and procedures is required as is good communication with
all staff teams.
Key Tasks:
- Monitoring requests for routine and same day
appointments and processing according to practice protocol
- Contacting patients to collect further
information on their requests
- Booking follow up appointments based on clinical
indications
- Adding and amending rotas as needed
- Monitoring appointment availability to ensure
there is sufficient access for patient daily, weekly and monthly
- Assist with developing timetables for new staff,
trainees and students
- Assisting the reception team in ensuring
patients can access the surgery (i.e. providing telephone backup or contacting
patients as necessary)
- Proactively contacting patients to encourage
clinical engagement for various initiatives and routine care
- Other clinical administration duties as required
