Job summary

The Range Medical Centre is looking for an Nurse Associate to join the team. The role will work alongside the nursing team and focus on chronic disease management.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will support our nursing team and the wider team to enable them to focus on more complex cases.

To support with chronic disease clinics , deliver great patient care, referring patients to other team members as appropriate. To develop individual treatment plans in accordance with practice policies.

The Range Medical Centre is a GMS practice with a list size of 9000 patients based in Whalley Range Manchester. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to join our team.

We are a well-established, high achieving, successful training practice. The practice has a forward thinking philosophy, with active involvement in our local Primary Care Network and federation. Partners and staff work well together as a team delivering high quality care to patients and are continually exploring innovative ways of working.

  • Knowledge of national immunisation and screening programmes.
  • Clinical skills within primary care, such as ECG, urinalysis and swab taking.
  • Able to give lifestyle advice and promote self-care.
  • Understands principles of clinical governance.
  • Good knowledge of NMC code of conduct and professional accountability.
  • Keep up to date with relevant clinical practice.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Competent in clical note taking.

  • Experience of working in general practice
  • Competent in the use of EMIS Web
