Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible

Previous HCA experience is essential but training in areas
where it may be required will be provided. The Practice encourages and supports
professional development as we are an approved training practice for a variety
of different clinical roles.
Knowledge
in using Outlook, Word and Excel are essential. A working knowledge of EMIS &
Docman is desirable, however full training would be provided, if required.
Main duties of the job
- Undertake wound care, dressings and other clinical tasks as required
- Undertake new patient health checks
- Support the practice nurses with health promotion programmes
- Carry out baseline observations such as pulse oximetry, blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, recording findings accurately
- Facilitate routine and 24-hour BP monitoring, advising patients accordingly
- Undertake wound care, dressings and other clinical tasks as required

About us
Cobham Health Centre is a well-established GP surgery in Cobham, near to the town centre, with a reputation for excellent patient-centred care. You will work closely and be supported by the Practice's nursing team and work collaboratively with our GPs and other practice staff, to develop and extend the HCA role within the practice and to deliver essential health care to our patients.
Hours of work: 17 hours per week, preferably Mon and
Tues. Expectation to be flexible and/or additional hours by agreement to cover
absence, annual leave etc, annual flu clinics.

- Carry out regular stock control of medical equipment in consulting and treatment rooms on a weekly basis
- Contact helplines for technical support for medical equipment when required
- Assist in annual calibration
- Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring the clinical system is kept up to date
- A duty to advise the Nursing Team of potential problems or errors within a range of assigned tasks
- Attend and participate in any practice meetings and training when required
- Responsible for own time management
- To assist in seasonal and special projects as requested e.g. Flu campaign
