This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated GP to join our dynamic, forward-thinking partnership. As a GP Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, clinical excellence, and operational efficiency of the practice.

Working autonomously, you will provide high-quality patient care, uphold GMC standards, and ensure compliance with the GP contract. Beyond clinical responsibilities, you will lead by example, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment while engaging in strategic decision-making, and service development.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence clinical governance, and the long-term growth of the practice, ensuring continued excellence in patient care while working closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality medical care to the practice population.
  • Prescribe in line with national and local guidelines.
  • Manage long-term conditions effectively.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including referrals and repeat prescriptions.
  • Participate in telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to best practices.
  • Lead a specialist area of interest, e.g., dermatology.
  • Contribute to practice management, including strategy, planning, and policy development.
  • Implement best practices through clinical guidelines and audits.
  • Complete the revalidation process.
  • Support training of medical students.
General Partner Responsibilities:
  • Provide services in line with the GP contract.
  • Demonstrate leadership, ensuring an equitable distribution of workload.
  • Drive continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Take delegated responsibility for QOF and other key areas.
  • Attend and contribute to practice and regional meetings.
  • Oversee governance, training, financial management, and HR.
  • Ensure compliance with appraisals and professional development.
  • Align with the practices strategic aims, optimizing income and efficiency.
  • Foster collaborative working and continuous improvement.
Additional Duties:
  • Participate in practice audits and local healthcare initiatives.
