Job summary
Grand Union Health Centre is a dynamic GP practice that serves 21000 Patients in central London. We have an incredible nursing team and are looking to add a fully trained HCA to our team.
We are looking for someone who is:
Trained in Phlebotomy
Trained in ECG administration
Trained ideally in Paediatric Phlebotomy
Can do Diabetic Foot checks
Able to do Blood Pressure and Weight checks
Can do NHS Health Checks
System1 experience would be beneficial.

Main duties of the role
See a variety of patients and do physical health checks including blood tests, ECGs, blood pressure, B12 injections, flu immuniastions, NHS health checks.

Candidate must have a Care Certificate
The Health Care Assistant is part of the Primary Health Care Team Principal Responsibilities
Phlebotomy duties.
To take and, where appropriate, despatch laboratory specimens including blood,
urine, swabs and other diagnostic tests as required by GPs. Making sure they are
ready for collection by the designated collection time, or alternatively storing them
in the fridge for next day collection.
Setting up the ECG machine to take ECGs and sending them to be read by a GP
Carrying out blood pressure checks as well as fitting and removal of the 24 hour
blood pressure monitor.
To advise patients on health care, minor ailments, health promotion and illness
prevention.
To administer flu, pneumonia, and B12 injections having been adequately trained.
