Job summary

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Secretary to join our successful group of 6 practices in the Walsall area.

As part of an ongoing recruitment drive due to development of existing staff & organisational growth, we are looking to recruit a reliable, motivated & hard-working individual to join our friendly team. You would be based predominantly at one surgery though may be asked to cover at any of our Umbrella Practices for training & development or to cover in times of sickness or annual leave.

Currently based over 6 sites, we are very soon to be moving much of our operations to a brand new purpose built surgery in the centre of Walsall.

We are looking for a Medical Secretary to work as part of a friendly team to provide a high standard of secretarial support across our group of practices in & around the Walsall area.

You will be required to undertake a range of duties & tasks including general office duties such as word processing, audio typing, filing, photocopying, referrals to NHS & non NHS Services and 2 week referrals. You will be required to input and analyse computer data accurately, and to deal with enquiries from a number of sources (patients, outside agencies and other NHS organisations). You will need to be IT literate & comfortable working across a number of systems concurrently.

We have high QOF achievement and offer a range of enhanced services. In addition we also participate in undergraduate and postgraduate training of healthcare professionals.
