We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Reception Manager to join our team at Mossley Fields Surgery. We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and committed individual with excellent communication & interpersonal skills to join our friendly and busy team.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working in general practice or the NHS & experience of dealing with the public both face to face & on the telephone.

You will co-ordinate the reception team and ensure we provide an efficient reception and administration service to patients as well as providing support for clinicians, to enable the effective day to day running of the practice.

Based predominantly at Mossley Fields Surgery, at times you may be required to work from one of our other Umbrella Practices for training and development or to cover annual leave and sickness.

The successful candidate will also have:

Effective communication skills

Good IT skills (EMISweb experience an advantage)

Ability to work as part of a team & independently & use their own initiative

Ability to diffuse sensitive situations with members of the public who are distressed

Management or supervisory experience preferred

Major duties and responsibilities of the post:

To co-ordinate the reception team and ensure we provide an efficient reception and administration service to patients as well as support for clinicians, to enable the effective day to day running of the practice. To undertake clerical duties as necessary and to enter relevant data onto the computer system, working both on your own initiative and as part of a team. At times you may be required to work from one of our other Umbrella Practices for training and development or to cover annual leave and sickness.

We are currently CQC OUTSTANDING (2 practices) and continue to build on that foundation. We recognise that General Practice is changing and in order to continue to provide excellent care we are offering this position. We have recently moved 3 of our town centre practices into a new purpose built surgery in the heart of Walsall.
