Job summary
We are
seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated Advanced Nurse
Practitioner. We are a large
forward-thinking practice with more than 17,200 patients, based in purpose-built
premises, in the centre of Chorley. We
have a multidisciplinary, clinical team made up of Doctors, Advanced Nurse
Practitioners, Paramedics, Pharmacists, First Contact Physios, a range of
specialised Nurses and Health Care Assistants.
The practice benefits from a management team led by the Practice Business
Manager who is supported by an Assistant Manager, a Finance Manager, a IT and
Operations Manager, and an Appointment Book Manager.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be able to:-
- Assess patients with undiagnosed problems at the point of entry into the primary care setting.
- Autonomously treat patients (adults and children) in your own acute clinic.
- Effectively prescribe, diagnose and deliver first rate assessment skills independently, both at the practice and on home visits.
As a person you will have:-
- An MSc/Post Graduate Diploma: Nurse Practitioner in Primary care or working at an equivalent level.
- Independent/Supplementary Nurse Prescribing qualifications.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- An enthusiastic, flexible approach to team working.
About us
Library House Surgery is an established training practice serving a population of in excess of 17,000 patients located in central Chorley. Our mission statement is to provide a high standard of medical care.
We are a dynamic team of 7 partners, salaried GPs, ANPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs. In addition we have phlebotomy, visiting clinicians, pharmacists, MSK specialists provided by our innovative and successful PCN.
The clinical team are supported by a experienced and enthusiastic team of Managers, Care Navigators, Medicines Management staff, Secretaries and Administrators.
