Job summary

Woolpit Health Centre - We currently have a vacancy for an early morning housekeeper to join our team. The post holder will work as an integral part of the housekeeping team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff and visitors. This role will report to the Operational Support Manager.

Main duties of the job

Duties of the successful applicant will include (this list is not exhaustive)

Cleaning of floors, furniture and fittings

Cleaning of toilets

Disposing of waste; including domestic and clinical

High and low level cleaning of ledges, window sills, curtain rails etc.

Replenishing of soap, hand towels, toilet paper

Maintaining complete confidentiality with regard to all patient / business issues

Reporting any damaged equipment or maintenance repairs

Undertaking any other relevant duties within the housekeeping department which are delegated from time to time

Main Purpose of Job

Flexible with the ability to work the hours required by the post

Previous experience of cleaning in a commercial or healthcare environment

Good working knowledge of Health and Safety issues
