Medical Receptionist

We are looking for an experienced enthusiastic, friendly hard working person to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with an experienced, efficient dedicated Reception team, who care are committed to caring for our patients and the wellbeing of others.
You must have an excellent telephone manner, outstanding communication and customer service skills.
Main duties of the job
We are a well established GP practice in Gosforth Newcastle upon Tyne, we have 2 GP partners and 4 Salaried GP's, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Nurse Associate, Phlebotomist , all supported by our Administration and Reception Team.
We are part of North Gosforth PCN and are a high achieving practice.
We require a Receptionist working full time position 37.5 hours per week, (work pattern to be agreed and you will need to be flexible to help cover holiday and sickness ).
Previous experience working within General Practice is essential, you should have excellent computer skills as the role involves computer work, excellent telephone manner, and be hard working, we will provide Emis training on appointment. You should be confident and professional at all times.

Brunton Park Health Centre is a dynamic high achieving GP practice based on Brunton Park Gosforth.
Our Reception team consists of 4 Receptionists, 1 senior Receptionists and 1 Reception Manager.
We provide a high quality patient care service whilst working in a friendly atmosphere.
Our Reception team are the first contact patients have when they visit or call the practice and we pride ourselves on our outstanding reputation.

Main Duties and Responsibilites
- Meet and greet patients and visitors to the practice
- Make appointments for GP, Nurse, NA and other clinical staff
- File and scan hospital letters, lab reports and patient records
- Process repeat prescriptions and promote on-line services
- Record home visits and ensure patient summary is awaiting for Doctors before visiting starts
- Answer telephone in a timely manner as per practice protocol
- Ensure Reception area is clean and tidy at all times
- Deal with patient registrations and dedcutions
- Deal with incoming and out going post
- Arrange 2WW referral as necessary
- Ensure all E-Learning is complete and up to date
- Ensure patient confidentiality is safeguarded at all times
- Any other clerical duties as assigned
