Job summary
High Street Medical Centre and Regent Street Surgery are seeking a Practice Nurse to work as part of our friendly practice team. Applications are invited from existing Practice Nurses, Nurses from other specialisms or Newly Qualified Nurses seeking their first role in General Practice.
Full training will be provided to supplement any applicants existing skills and experience.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the delivery of general practice nursing to the whole practice population, mostly from within the practice setting, but also occasionally to patients in their own home or residential care where required.
The focus of the role is both the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients presenting with long-term conditions, and the provision of preventative health care to the wider practice population.
As an autonomous practitioner the Practice Nurse is responsible for the care delivered, demonstrating critical thinking and skills in clinical decision-making in the management of patients.
They will work collaboratively within the general practice team to meet the needs of patients and support the delivery of our policy and procedures.

Two semi-rural practices in the small town of Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. Total List size 11,500 patients. Shared partnership across both practices 4 partners supported by an established management team. The practices have a friendly, family feel.

- Assess,
plan, develop, implement and evaluate treatment programmes that promote

- Assess,

adults and children.

support and administer vaccinations where appropriate for patients
travelling abroad.
- Promote
and deliver evidence-based care for patients presenting with aural
conditions.
- Meet the needs of patients presenting for both planned
and opportunistic wound care.
